Standard for EDCS

A database in Microsoft Access format and a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel format have been created to aid voting on ISO/IEC FDIS 18025, the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) of the Environmental Data Coding Specification (EDCS).

The EDCS standard is published in HTML format. It is a very large document and, therefore, its technical content is necessarily divided into many separate physical files. The database and spreadsheet present much of the material in the EDCS standard in an alternative format that is more amenable to searching and direct comparison than are the separate HTML files themselves. Such searching and comparison is useful when evaluating the EDCS standard for consistency and technical correctness.

NOTE: However the database and spreadsheet are not, in and of themselves, to be evaluated. They are provided solely as aids to those reviewing the content of the dictionaries found in ISO/IEC FDIS 18025 itself.
