Definition

An instance of this DRM class is the hierarchical root of all DRM class instances in a single transmittal.

The name field specifies a meaningful short name.

The major_DRM_version field specifies the major version number of the release of the DRM used to create the transmittal to which the given instance of <DRM Transmittal Root> belongs.

The minor_DRM_version field specifies the minor version number of the release of the DRM used to create the transmittal to which the given instance of <DRM Transmittal Root> belongs.

The interim_DRM_version specifies version letter for an interim DRM version. The value shall be the NULL character if not an interim DRM version and between ‘a’ and ‘z’ inclusive for an interim DRM version.

The major_EDCS_version field specifies the major version number of the release of the EDCS used to create the transmittal to which the given instance of <DRM Transmittal Root> belongs.

Th minor_EDCS_Version field specifies the minor version number of the release of the EDCS used to create the transmittal to which the given instance of <DRM Transmittal Root> belongs.

The interim_EDCS_version specifies version letter for an interim EDCS version. The value shall be the NULL character if not an interim EDCS version and between ‘a’ and ‘z’ inclusive for an interim EDCS version.

Clarifications

1 For each such <DRM Base Time Data> instance, the time_significance field shall not be set to Time_Significance.
