·         <DRM SEDRIS Abstract Base>

Class

·         <DRM Feature Model>

Subclass

·         none

Definition

An instance of this DRM class is a collection of feature attributes and the necessary hierarchy and attributes required to build a <DRM Feature> representation of an environmental entity, defined in the single spatial reference frame specified by its <DRM Model> aggregate.

Example(s)

·         A segment of railroad track, represented as a <DRM Linear Feature> under a <DRM Union of Features> component of the <DRM Feature Model>.  Where the <DRM Linear Feature> component has been properly attributed with a <DRM Classification Data> component and with <DRM Property Value> components describing its mobility and material properties.

·         An airport modeled as a set of <DRM Feature> objects contained in a <DRM Feature Hierarchy> under a <DRM Feature Model> object.  In such a case, the airport could be represented using <DRM Linear Feature> objects for runways, <DRM Areal Feature> objects representing the terminal and hangars, and <DRM Point Feature> objects representing personnel or vehicles.
