Description

Superclass

·         <DRM SEDRIS Abstract Base>

Class

·         <DRM Geometry Face Ring>

Subclass

·         none

Definition

An object of this DRM class specifies the unidirectional topological relationship between a <DRM Geometry Face> and the ordered collection of one or more <DRM Geometry Edge>s that define its outer boundary.

The edges form a closed, non-self-intersecting circuit. If only one <DRM Geometry Edge> is present, then it forms a loop.

NOTE: The converse of this relationship is formed by associating each <DRM Geometry Edge> of the <DRM Geometry Face Ring> to the <DRM Geometry Face>.

Example(s)

·         Consider a <DRM Geometry Face> representing a sinkhole. The outer boundary of the <DRM Geometry Face> is represented by its <DRM Geometry Face Ring>.

·         Consider a <DRM Geometry Face> representing a lake. The shoreline of the lake is described by the <DRM Geometry Face Ring> of the <DRM Geometry Face>.
