Notes

1 A meaningful short name. A full description would be in a <DRM Description> component.

2 A SEDRIS sound URN, in the form:
   urn:x-sedris:<DNAS>:sound=<SN>:<S_FMT>
where:
<DNAS> is domain name authority name string,

<SN> is a scoped sound resource name string, and

<S_FMT> is a SEDRIS registered sound tag.

3 Length of sound clip in seconds.

4 Number of samples per second. For example, a standard CD has a sampling of 44.1 kHz; this would be a sampling rate of 44100.

5 Also called sample size or quantization; e.g., a standard CD has 16 bits per sample.

6 1 = monophonic, 2 = stereophonic. (CDs can be recorded with 4 channels).

7 Identify the encoding scheme and compression scheme used, if any.

8 If provided, the <DRM Lineage> instance specifies either:

a.       information about the events and/or source data used in constructing the given <DRM Sound> instance, or

b.       lack of knowledge about lineage.
