Part 4 — Language binding to C
SEDRIS is a system for maintaining data about synthetic and natural environments including terrain, oceanographic, atmospheric, and near space data. SEDRIS includes an application programmer interface (API) that allows a variety of proprietary systems to consistently interchange and interoperate with the data. SEDRIS may be used in a variety of application areas such as modeling and simulation, engineering and scientific visualization, multimedia presentations, entertainment and educational titles, and shared virtual worlds.
Access to the information stored in a SEDRIS transmittal is through the API. The abstract specification for this API is defined in Part 1 of ISO/IEC 18023. Each part of ISO/IEC 18024 defines the binding of that abstract specification to a particular programming language. This document defines a standard binding for the C programming language.
